Life of Pike Landusky : biographical sketch : ADS., [between 1894 and 1908].

Brief account by Johnny Healy (signed "Cal Healy") of Powell "Pike" Landusky's life. He writes that Landusky was born in Pike County, Missouri, in 1847, and went to Montana in 1866 and worked in mining, ranching, and trading with Indians. He later founded the town of Landusky, Montana, after his success in gold mining. Healy also provides stories about Landusky, such as his arrest for stealing a government mule and his encounter with White Calf, chief of the Piegan tribe. Finally, he tells of Landusky's confrontation with Harvey Logan (known as Kid Curry), who killed Landusky in a gunfight.
